The Faculty of Technology and Engineering - The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was originally established as Kala Bhavan Technical Institute (KBTI) in 1890 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad. Later, with the inception of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 1949, it became a constituent faculty of the university.
